<div>HIPS (Honoring Individual Power &amp; Strength), needs our help.

<div>HIPS build is being put up for sale.. With just $350,000 raised, HIPS will be able to purchase the building and secure a permanent home. We are already one third of the way there! But without these funds, HIPS will likely be forced to move which will cause a disruption in our live saving services. When our building originally sold in 2019 - our rent increased by 30% - at the start of the pandemic -which stretched our resources and limited what we could spend on our critical community programs. With another pending sale - our rent could raise even more. However, with the purchase of our building our future is in our own hands - and we will actually pay less month to month. It also protects HIPS and our programs from the future problems with new landlords or ever increasing rent prices.

<div>For 30 years, HIPS has been the lifeline for harm reduction and compassionate services for sex workers, drug users, and the unhoused LGBTQ+ community in Washington DC. We do the work no one else does, providing essential services, advocacy, and community engagement led by those with lived experience.

<div>Why This Matters:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We Serve Over 15,000 People Annually: Our mobile services program operates 24/7, reaching those often left behind.
</div>
<div>We Are the Community: 85% of our staff have lived experience in our issues, and we are the largest local employer of BIPOC LGBTQ individuals in the city.
</div>
<div>We Lead with Impact: From needle exchange programs to the repeal of prostitution-free zones, our advocacy has transformed lives.

<div>How You Can Help:
</div>
<div>Donate Now: Every dollar counts and brings us closer to securing our future. Your contribution is crucial.
</div>
<div>Share Our Campaign: Spread the word to your friends, family, and networks. The more people who know, the closer we get to our goal.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our down payment deadline has been extended to the end of September, giving us more time to reach our $350,000 goal! This extension provides a critical opportunity to secure the funds needed to save HIPS’s Center and continue providing life-changing services. Together, we can ensure HIPS continues to be the beacon of hope and support for our community.
