<div><strong>She Is Risen</strong> centers Iris, a historical curator at the Brooklyn Museum. Unable to accept her infertility diagnosis amidst the loneliness of growing apart from her friends, Iris seeks vindication. The night before the opening of her magnum opus, "She Is Risen: Global Burial Practices Through an Intersectional Feminist Lens," she charms prenatal yoga instructor Holden into a manic and magical plot for her exhibit's grand finale. <strong>She Is Risen</strong> resurrects the age-old question: Can a good first date fix EVERYTHING?

<div>Over the past nine months, we've crafted this special project amongst a small cohort of collaborators via salon-style readings and movement workshops. And now...we are bringing the play to a theatre near you (a.k.a. <a href="https://thetanknyc.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Tank NYC</a>!!!!!).

<div>We are so grateful to have been selected for The Tank's LimeFest 2026, a festival of "new, zesty works by emerging artists and creative teams who identify as women, nonbinary or gender non-conforming." This year’s LimeFest will run August 7th-23rd. <strong>She Is Risen</strong> will have ONE performance on August 18th at 7:00pm in The Tank’s 98-Seat Theatre on W 36th St.

<div>To compensate the artists offering their time, energy, and resources, and cover any production costs, we are hoping to raise a total of $8,000. If you are able to donate, your generous contribution would be distributed across our cast, creative team, production team, and material costs.
