Support & Pray for Hemu & Family

As you all know, our fun-loving, bright sparkle Hemu has recently been in a serious accident. He was hit by a bus on the Great Western Highway on the 15th April 2019. Unfortunately, he has suffered severe head injuries with multiple fractures.
Hemu is still currently in an induced coma, with hopes of slowly waking him up soon.

If you have never had the pleasure of meeting this fun loving, funny as hell young man, you are certainly missing out; he is a one-of-a-kind, loved by so many people; with his antics and energetic ways, there is nothing Hemu would try to back out of.

His love of his brothers, sisters and close friends is always known and he is always up for a challenge. Melissa (Hemu’s mum) & Nele have 9 children between them. They have a lot of support from family and friends, and Nele is looking after their twins while Melissa sits with Hemu at the hospital; their family and friends are helping to juggle the rest. But their bills are starting to accumulate.

I work in collections, so I know first-hand how quickly your life can be turned upside down; bills and other commitments are the last thing on someone’s mind when they are sitting by their son’s bedside, each and every day, not knowing what the future will hold for them, but praying for the best outcome. I could go on and on about how much joy this family has brought, not only to me, but to everyone who has ever had the pleasure of knowing them.

I have set this up as many people are asking ways they can help. We are unsure at this time what the outcome will be; we pray that Hemu wakes up back to his usual fun-loving self, but the process is going to take a long time. The reason for this page is that Melissa and her family will need support financially.

Melissa has touched everyone's heart at one stage or another over the years, whether it be through netball coaching and playing, or working with her at the hospital; she never hesitates to help anyone in need. Regardless of what Melissa says (as she would never ask for help), she needs assistance, I know first-hand the money she has spent on food and credit for her phone, to respond to every ones well wishes and to keep herself occupied while she is at the hospital; not to mention the time she will need to take off work to care for Hemu.

Any kind donation will help relieve the financial stress that this family is now under and assist in anything she needs, whether it be food, bills, rent or anything to help with Hemu’s recovery.
