Help Helena Raise Funds for a Transplant

Donation protected

Hi there, my name is Helena and I am fundraising for a Lymph Node Transplant. All my problem started in June 2020 when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I was in so much shock that I didn't know what to do. September that year I went for my first Lumpectomy (Tumor Removal). Then I went for the second part of my operation, which was a Cavity Shave, 2 months later. Therefore it was a horrible surprise to find in April 2021 that the Cancer had spread to the Lymph Nodes under my arm. I was quickly referred for an urgent operation to remove all my Lymph Nodes from under my right arm. Because of this, my right arm is unable to get ride of any lactic acid. At first things weren't too bad and I went for fluid drainage once a week. But after a while things went from bad to worse...

My arm started swelling uncontrollably along with the fingers on my right arm. It feels like they are going to burst. My arm and fingers are completely solid and I am unable to move them which makes me disabled. To make matters worse, the Clinic I attend started to refuse to give me repeat drainage and it is a miracle to persuade them to do it. It was then that I ws diagnosed with Lymphoedema. After many weeks of suffering and trying to get sufficient help out of the NHS, it had also spread to my breast. The pain is so unbelievably strong that I cannot sleep at night, no matter how many Pain Relief Tabets I take. The truth is, there is no available medication to help directly with Lymphoedema. What makes matters worse, I am set to undergo Chemotherapy AND Radiotherapy as there is a big chance that the Cancer may come back. However, I cannot take the treatment while my arm is in this state, meaning that my chances of getting through this are limited, slipping away like the sand in an hourglass. On the good side, there is one available operation to help me which is called a Lymph Node Transfusion. On the bad side, the NHS does not offer this service and it is otherwise very expensive. The NHS has practically decided how my life is going to turn out, or end, depending how you look at it. A NHS doctor himself told me that there is no treatment for this illness and that things are never going to get better. I go through pain by wearing compression garments and having specialist massages to be told that I will never get better? On top of that, he told me that my arm will get bigger and bigger until I have Elephantiasis.

The only way for me to be able to undergo a Lymph Node Transfusion to cure me is to have it done through private healthcare. In the UK, there is currently only one specialist who has experience and is willing to perform this operation. After a consultation with him, he has stated that the total cost that he will charge for the operation is around 25,000 Pounds. I require the funds as soon as possible to help me have this operation as I am in so much pain as I don't know how long I will last and the Cancer may come back at any time. These funds will aid me in paying for a such operation and I would be grateful to anybody who helps, no matter how big or small your donation is. The situation is really urgent and I need the help of good, kind and caring people before it is too late. Please, any contribution will be a great help.

Thanks, Helena
