Hello friends, family, and supporters,

I never thought I would find myself asking for help, but here I am asking for help to get Calypso back on the road. My Jeep (Calypso), which is not just my personal lifeline but also a crucial part of the community work I’m involved in, has broken down. Unfortunately, my extended warranty is denying the repair claim, leaving me with a hefty repair bill of over $6k that I simply can’t cover on my own.

I have had quite a rough year financially, from being on disability for mental health at the beginning of the year to having to take time off work with a broken leg very recently. I’ve also had to be moved from place to place while my apartment was being remediated due to mold. And on top of all that, I went through a breakup of a long-term relationship.

This Jeep has been more than just a mode of transportation to me. It’s been my sense of independence and identity. It has brought so much joy to me over these difficult times I’ve gone through recently. It’s been instrumental in supporting community events and fundraisers that I’ve been proud to be part of. From organizing fundraising events to empowering women in the off-road community, it’s played a role in helping others. Now, I need help to get it back on the road so we can continue serving the greater good.

Without my Jeep, it’s not just my independence at stake—it’s also my ability to give back to the community I love so much. Every donation, no matter the size, will help get Calypso repaired and ready to hit the road again.
