Help Healing Hands Wellness Center

Healing Hands was established in 2003 with the intention of creating a space that would provide affordable wellness to a neighborhood community.  Once inside this unique house from the twenties, you will find a perfectly curated staff of likeminded wellness professionals eager to assist you with your healthcare journey.

Upon arrival, it became our mission to set a standard for genuine care that has not only been recognized by the community, but enthusiastically embraced for the last seventeen years. Described as a “Home away from Home”, we take pride in being a reliable source for your physical and mental wellbeing.

However, like many small businesses, we were not immune to the pandemic. It managed to unravel everything we have worked so hard to cultivate.  Although we are grateful to remain open during a time our clients and friends need us most, the COVID limitations have made it impossible to generate our normal revenue to sustain a functioning business.

At the beginning of the pandemic, we put a lot of effort into making our facility safe by purchasing air purifiers for every room, massage table barriers for easy disinfecting, sneeze guards at the front desk and contactless payment methods. To manage the upgrades and the $250,000 in operating costs, we applied for grants to which we received zero assistance and the PPP loan only offered six weeks of support. Sadly, we closed out the year with a $100k loss.

Unbeknownst to most, we provide a space for massage therapists as they are individual small business owners. When safety risks are not a factor, we normally have twenty therapists on the schedule; We currently have three. It is our therapist’s rental fees that keep Healing Hands afloat. During a time when there is fear of public places and confined spaces, it is difficult to maintain a lucrative flow of appointments. Unfortunately, to offset the costs of the current COVID climate, we have had to let some employees go and continuously negotiate for a decrease in rent.

Healing Hands still has so much more to give.  We have a new acupuncturist eager to share with you her knowledge of Chinese Medicine. Not to mention Larchmont’s revered Chiropractor Dr. Paul who has taken a pay cut to help his dream practice stay alive. And finally, there are the therapists, the front desk staff, and Healing Hands fearless leader Suzy, all of whom would hate to lose the opportunity to see your faces and continue assisting you with your wellness needs.

On that note, we do not want to say good-bye. We do not want our journey’s end to be “Thanks 2020. You won.” So, in one final attempt to remain your go to Wellness Center, we have created this GoFundMe Campaign. According to the reports, life will not be “back to normal” until the fall months. The following amount would sustain our business until then and allow us to keep our doors open to the community. The Healing Hands team thanks you in advance for any donation size, small or large, and for spreading the word on our behalf.   It will take a village to remain in the village.
