Jordan and I are in and out of hospital on a regular basis as Jordan’s heart regulates an unstable ejection fraction of 24%. An ejection fraction of 55% or higher is considered normal.
Jordan is now out of work due to the increasing strain on his heart from everyday life activities. Although Jordan has had a defibrillator currently surgically implanted in his heart and suffers from a sleeping disorder, we are unable to access much needed government assistance. “Centrelink” does not classify his condition as a ‘disability’ and refuse to assist in our on-going family care and medical costs.
While Jordan is now out of work, I am still on maternity leave with our second son. Funds to support purchasing a cpap machine to improve his sleep, rent, childcare, medical expenses, ongoing treatment and his future heart transplant would make a huge difference in our lives to try and get back some sort of ‘normality’. 27 years young and so much to live for!
We would appreciate your generous support during this time by sharing a small donation towards living our best life.
