Help Heal Hamilton’s Heart

Hamilton is a 10 week old male Victorian bulldog who unfortunately has had a rough start to life. His previous owners purchased him from a pet store and once they learned of his severe heart murmur, relinquished him to the animal hospital which I work at. An echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) was performed and the images/video clips were sent to a radiologist for interpretation. Unfortunately, the radiologist is concerned Hamilton has a very rare condition called Tetrology of Fallot. This is a congenital issue that is composed of 4 different heart defects.


Due to the severity of this potential condition, Hamilton could not be adopted out to someone from the general public, and was going to be euthanized. After spending time with this adorable, sweet, playful little boy I could not let that happen and offered to adopt him, knowing that he would not have the lifespan of a normal dog of his breed.  Unfortunately, my current financial situation does not allow me the ability to afford taking Hamilton to a board certified veterinary cardiologist for a complete work up to  get a definitive diagnosis.  Pending the definitive diagnosis, there may be surgical options available that could help extend his life beyond what medication alone can do.
