For over a decade, Headway West London has been a safe and welcoming space for people rebuilding their lives after a brain injury. We were set up to bring together individuals and families who too often feel isolated or misunderstood after leaving hospital — a place where everyone knows what it’s like to face the long, slow road to recovery.
Whenever we can, our community comes together for group sessions, social activities, and peer support that make a world of difference to people living with the lasting effects of brain injury. Some come to regain confidence and independence, others simply to be among friends who understand what they’re going through. What connects everyone is the shared belief that life after brain injury can still be full of purpose, laughter, and hope.
Our small team and volunteers work tirelessly to provide these lifelines — whether that’s helping someone rebuild social skills, supporting family members, or simply offering a listening ear. But now, we’re facing a funding crisis that puts these vital services at risk. Without urgent support, we may not be able to keep our doors open to those who rely on us most.
This appeal is about more than keeping an organisation going; it’s about keeping a community together. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us continue to offer a safe space for connection, understanding, and recovery.
All funds raised through this campaign will go directly to Headway West London’s official charity bank account (Registered Charity No. 1160899) and will be used to maintain and protect our support services for brain injury survivors across our community.
Thank you for standing with us, for believing in what we do, and for helping to make sure Headway West London can continue to be here — for everyone who needs a place to turn after brain injury.
