Help Hayley achieve her Japan dream

Donation protected
Our daughter Hayley has been obsessed with all things Japan and Japanese culture for as long as we can remember. She's always drawing and watching anime. Reading and drawing her own manga. Her bedroom & clothes also share this theme. She lives in the library at school, always with her nose in a book. Hayley has also had 2 exchange students visit and stay at our home. She attends a weekly after school manga club. And is soon to be studying a Japanese language course via correspondence from home.

Hayley lives everyday with severe anxiety, panic and OCD disorder, directly connected to her high functioning Aspergers.

Hayley has been offered the exciting opportunity to be an exchange student to Japan in 2018 for 12 days. Unfortunately it's quite a costly trip and we are trying to ensure Hayley's adventures and lifetime memories are not hindered by our financial situation. In addition to our go fund me page appeal, our family will be working as hard as possible to fundraise the money Hayley requires for her trip.

We were apprehensive at first in regards to putting ourselves out there in public eye on go fund me, but we had family and friends suggest to start a go fund me page. As our Dad said, there's no harm in trying.

Hayley is still very anxious about the whole situation and is looking forward to challenging her anxieties and other issues head on, rather than play it safe and sheltered. She feels if she can push herself personally on this trip, that she would be capable of anything.

This trip will cost initially $4000 with an additional $1000 for food, spending and expenses. $5000 in total.

We feel this trip is not only an amazing opportunity and experience but a great confidence, self esteem and personal growth building opportunity for Hayley too.

Anyone who knows Hayley, knows what an extreme and ultimate personal challenge this trip will be for her, on so many levels, while also being something she's wanted for as long as we can remember.

She is the most thoughtful, selfless  and giving young lady - who would donate a kidney without question to a stranger in need. She has fundraised since very young for so many charities to help those in need. Including retina Australia and the leukaemia foundation be brave and shave. At just 10 years old, Hayley chopped off hair past her bottom and donated it to Pantene to make a wig for a cancer patients. She enjoys doing random acts of kindness and making people smile.

She only ever puts others wants and needs before her own. And we feel there is no one more deserving of this wonderful experience to learn about Japanese education and culture.

Any contribution that you can gift to Hayley would be greatly appreciated.

We sincerely thank you.
