Harrison is 11 and has an extremely rare colloid cyst brain tumor. Every day he goes without brain surgery is a risk. The tumor acts as a ball joint and can cut off the spinal fluid to the brain, causing many complications, including instant death. Harrison’s tumor is small enough that it is not causing complications currently, but to avoid future complications, we have surgery scheduled for May 16th.
Due to the rarity of the tumor, we have to travel from Missouri to New York to see Dr. Souweidane, who is a world-renowned neurosurgeon. Unfortunately, we mostly live paycheck to paycheck and would not be able to do it on our own. We need help to fly Harrison to New York and stay in New York for a short period while he recovers. There is also a deductible amount for the surgery.
Harrison is the most grateful kid you will ever meet. We would appreciate anything you can do.
