<div>My name is Kata and my husband's name is Danny. As many of you know, our sweet dog, Harlow, was diagnosed with Cancer (Hemangiosarcoma) 3 weeks ago. We noticed one morning that he could'nt stand up and was refusing to eat, we then rushed him to VCA Knowles Animal Clinic. He had to have emergency surgery right there &amp; then, as he was suffering from internal bleeding from a tumor on his spleen. After surgery he had to spend two days hospitalized for monitoring. His spleen has been removed and the surgery was successful.

<div>On September 18th he started his first round of chemotherapy (first of 6 sessions). Unlike that of humans, Chemo for dogs is an infusion and much gentler. Harlow thankfully had no side effects from his first round of Chemo.

<div>Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive Cancer but we've been told by his doctors that now, with the tumor gone and with chemo treatments, he can live as long as 1-3 years (or even go into remission, although rare).

<div>Today, our sweet boy is running and playing again after his life-saving surgery. He had his stitches removed last week and the wound is healing nicely.
</div>

</div>
<div>Harlow is only 9 years old and we believe he has a few more years of ball playing and cuddles. <strong>This has broken our hearts beyond words</strong> but we are HOPEFUL &amp; are praying that the chemo can significantly slow down the cancer.
</div>

<div>This has been an unexpected and <strong>EXPENSIVE</strong> journey (attaching all receipts). Danny and I just had our first baby 3 months ago and we're learning to navigate our new life as parents. All of this happening at once has been so overwhelming and scary.
