Hannah Mohn recently experienced a moment that no one should ever have to face. While she was in the hospital welcoming her second child—a joyful time for her family—she received a devastating message. Her beloved dog Zeus, who means the world to her son and the entire family, had gotten out and was hit by a car. The shock and horror of that moment were unimaginable, especially as Hannah was already navigating the challenges of caring for a newborn. Thankfully, a group of compassionate people stepped in to help Zeus. Ashley Rosales of Kahu-K9 Rescue alerted everyone to Zeus's condition, Kim Pruett made sure he was taken to UF for emergency care, and Rebecca Zamora of B.R.A.T. Alliance helped ensure Hannah was informed. Zeus was sedated, given x-rays, and his wounds were cleaned. He is now being closely monitored for any further injuries. The veterinary bill was paid with a credit card, and with a new baby and unexpected expenses, Hannah and her family are facing a significant financial burden. This fundraiser is here to help Hannah and her family pay off the veterinary bill, cover ongoing medication and care for Zeus, and ease the stress during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring Zeus home and give this young family hope. Hannah is deeply grateful for the support of her community—Zeus is alive today because of the kindness of so many. Please consider helping them as they work to heal and move forward.
