<div><strong>Hannah needs your help!</strong> Recently, Hannah and her family got the devastating news that she has a very rare form of liver cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma(liver bile duct cancer). No stranger to health issues, at the very young age of 3, Hannah was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis with Ulcerative Colitis. Countless hospitalizations through the years and major surgeries to help with the UC, daily medications to keep her liver functioning and inflammation down, have now developed into Cholangiocarcinoma. She can no longer be treated by her wonderful doctors in Hartford, Connecticut, and must travel to New York City's Columbia Hospital for Radiation treatment and a liver transplant.

<div>This is very difficult for a very proud and independent commercial fishing family. Hannah can no longer attend college or work regularly, possibly leaving behind her dream of going into health care. Parents Scott and Pam are doing everything possible to support her, working incredibly hard and packing up for short-term living closer to NYC, paying out of pocket for insurance that can be used in the state of NY.

<div>Hannah has completed a full summer of chemotherapy and is moving on to targeted radiation therapy with complementary oral chemo, which must be done in NYC twice daily for 4 weeks, allowing transplant doctors to actively monitor vital tissue around the cancer to allow for optimal success for a living donor transplant. This also has made her very sick and very tired.

<div><strong>Community support is needed to assist with living expenses while unable to work for both Hannah and her parents, travel expenses for going to Columbia Hospital in NYC, recurring supportive care such as prescriptions, insurance, copays, parking, and temporary housing in NYC.</strong> Taking the pressure off this hardworking family would be amazing. This is going to continue to be a long road of recovery. Hannah is determined to beat this cancer. She has an amazing mindset!
