<div>Since childhood, I have lived with multiple chronic illnesses, including Ankylosing Spondylitis, Fibromyalgia, Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak Syndrome, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, and functional hypoglycemia. Today, I rely on a wheelchair, a cane, and various assistive devices depending on my physical condition each day, while facing severe pain on a daily basis.

<div>My medical condition is extremely complex, and there is still no fundamental cure. Although I manage my pain with strong medication, I am often struck by intense fluctuations in my health that leave me unable to move for several days at a time.
</div>
<div>The greatest challenge I face now is achieving true independence while living with these physical limitations.
</div>

<div>I grew up in an abusive household, and I have now cut off all connections with my family and relatives. Without support from family, I am left in a gap where Japan’s public welfare systems alone are not sufficient for a single person with intractable illnesses to live independently. I am currently in a situation where I must survive and build my life.
</div>

</div>
<div>For this reason, I am seeking support to establish these essential foundations: safe and accessible housing, a new wheelchair for independence in mobility, consistent access to medication, and specialized counseling.
</div>

</div>
<div>Safe and accessible housing: In Japan, barrier-free housing that can accommodate a wheelchair costs at least 100,000 to 120,000 yen per month. Considering my medical expenses and daily living costs, this is not something I can afford on my own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A new wheelchair: My current wheelchair is over 10 years old and has reached its limit. To create a high-performance wheelchair that I can operate entirely on my own, without relying on a caregiver, requires a significant out-of-pocket expense.
</div>

</div>
<div>Consistent access to medication: I currently have to go to the hospital for treatment on a daily basis. Medication allows  me to manage my pain and illnesses and live a life outside of my bed.
</div>

<div>Specialized counseling: Because of the abuse I experienced as a child, I still suffer from severe anxiety, nightmares, and sleep disorders, which further worsen my physical pain.
</div>
<div>In Japan, counseling and trauma treatment are mostly paid out of pocket and are extremely expensive.
</div>

<div>In Japan, the system is not designed for cases like mine, where a person has multiple rare illnesses and lives alone without a caregiver.
</div>
<div>Even the wheelchairs that are provided by the government are based on the assumption that a caregiver is present. Although Japan is often considered to have a strong medical support system, many of my treatments are not covered by insurance. Cases like mine are allowed to fall through the cracks.
</div>

<div>My physical challenges and mental challenges are not separate issues.
</div>
<div>Without a safe home, I cannot continue medical treatment.
</div>
<div>Without a proper wheelchair, I cannot access appropriate hospitals.
</div>
<div>Without medical care, my life becomes even more unstable.
</div>

<div>Everything is interconnected.

<div>I humbly ask for support to help me establish the minimum environment necessary to continue living.

<div>Furthermore, through striving for independence despite these hardships, I hope to become a light of hope for other survivors who live with similarly complex and overlapping illnesses.

<div>私は幼少期から複合した難病と闘ってきました。（病名としては脊椎関節炎、線維筋痛症、脳脊髄液減少症等）今も痛みや様々な症状に対処するため、車椅子や杖などその日の体調に合わせて補助具を使用して生活しています。
</div>

</div>
<div>根本的な治療法がまだいずれの難病も確立しておらず、症状は複雑です。症状の波が大きく、強い痛み止めで体調を管理していますが、数日間、また数週間動けなくなることもあり、この体調に合わせて一人暮らしで対処していくことがかなり大変な状況にあります。
</div>
<div>が、私はこれらの課題を抱えながらも自立していきたいと考えております。
</div>

<div>自分の背景としては虐待的な家庭で育ったため、家族や親戚なども一人もいない状況です。家族からの支援が完全にない中、日本の福祉・医療制度だけを頼り自立の道を模索していくことは大変困難だと考えています。

<div>今回の募金は、バリアフリー、車椅子可能物件に引っ越す費用、また介助者なしでも動かすことの出来る車椅子、継続的な保険適応外になってしまう医療費、また心理的なトラウマ対応・治療など、安全な生活の基盤を築くための支援を目的としています。

<div>簡単にご説明すると、日本は医療や福祉の素晴らしい国ですが、私はその制度漏れになってしまいます。完全に寝たきり・外出困難な方を想定した定期訪問の看護や医療チームはありますし、定期的に同じ介助者を前提としたシステムや車椅子は支給されます。ですが、体調に波があり、少し元気で薬さえ飲めば自律的に行動できる時もあれば、急に長期間（二週間から1ヶ月など）目も開けられない、一人ではお手洗いにも行けない、ご飯も口元まで運んでいただかないと動けない寝たきり状態になることもあり、その大きな波が医者も私も想定できない中で日本の福祉制度が追いついていくことが不可能な状況です。

<div>生きていくために必要な最低限の環境を整えるだけでも、保険外の自費になってしまうことが多くあります。そのため、皆様のご支援を頂けますと幸いです。

<div>また、これらの困難や条件を乗り越えてでも、自立を目指すことで、私のように似たように複合して病気を抱える方、他にも目に見えない困難や苦しみを抱える方の希望になりたいと考えるようになりました。
