Hi! This is Hammy. Hammy is a community cat that lives in my neighborhood. According to folks that live here, Hammy has been wandering the area for at least 2 years before I moved in and put a cat door in the garage so he could escape the winters here up north. He is a wonderful, deserving doofus who lets me pull him around on a saucer sled in the winter when the snow is too deep, who has helped me through a divorce by hanging out in my yard when I couldn't stand my four walls closing in on me inside, and who is learning to trust humans again.

Hammy showed up for his meal today with labored breathing, restlessness, and constantly cleaning his eyes and ears. This is not normal behavior for him. I believe he needs to go to the vet.

Hammy can't ask for your help, so I'm asking for him. Hammy's past owners were contacted via microchip but never responded. He was neutered before I met him, so in other words, Hammy was dumped.
