<div>If you know me, you know the LAST thing I do is reach out for help. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to put my pride aside to help my best friend and sidekick, <strong>Halo</strong>.

<div>During one of our routine hikes a few months ago, Halo injured her rear leg. After two vet visits, it’s been determined that she has a complete tear of her ACL and meniscus. Unfortunately, surgery is required. She has been on pain meds and trazodone every day since it first happened to keep her somewhat pain-free and comfortable. I have literally exhausted every financial avenue trying to afford this surgery on my own, to no avail. My credit cards are maxed out. Her pet insurance will not cover any leg injury due to her having a pre-existing condition with that leg (born with a luxating patella). Also, I can’t qualify for a loan since my debt to income is upside down. I work three jobs to provide a home for not only me and my daughter, but my elderly parents as well. To say finances are stretched thin is an understatement.

<div>The cost of Halo’s surgery is estimated to be around <strong>$5,500-6,000</strong>. I know it’s a lot to ask for, but I truly can’t afford this surgery without your help.

<div>Halo has been my whole world (aside from my family) for almost 10 years. Her entire life has been full of adventures with me. From hiking the White Mountains when I’d have some free time, to random road trips, swimming, walking the wooded trails in nearby towns, and being my farm dog when I’d have horses to care for… she’s always been with me. It truly breaks my heart seeing her struggle each day with this injury.
