On May 5th of this year, Haley Grayson received the news that no woman wants to hear. She had been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. For the last three months, she has fought - fought to maintain her roles as a wife and mother, fought to feel good when she really didn't, fought to smile in the face of adversity, fought to laugh when everything inside just wants to break down and cry.
Through all of the tests and treatments, Haley has turned them into her triumphs - approaching each day with a focus on enjoying the sunset, her daughter's laughter, her husband's kiss when he comes home from work each day.
Einstein once said that "adversity introduces a man to himself," and Haley has shown all of us who she really is - an inspiration to us all on how to live.
Although born and raised in Highlands, Haley met her husband Collin and moved to the Dallas area in 2010. A few years later, she gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Camryn and the three of them now reside in Irving. The diagnosis came just as she started a new job, leaving her unable to work most days because of her side effects from chemotherapy.
Now three months into her fight, she’s kept her chin up when most would have folded. She’s lost weight and her hair, but her spirit glows bright enough to light up any room. There is still a very long road ahead with testing, procedures, treatments and an eventually double mastectomy, but she’s stayed focus on the one day that matters - the one she’s given at the moment.
Prayers have come from literally all over the globe, but unfortunately prayers can’t help to pay medical bills. Between those and lost wages, the financial burden has been a bit difficult to handle, so we come to you humbly and ask for your donations, support and obviously prayers. Thank you!
