Help Hala to continue her breast cancer treatment

My name is Ahmed Elsherif, I am an NHS doctor working in the UK. I am fundraising for my sister Hala to continue chemotherapy treatment for her breast cancer.

I would like to share this heartbreaking story of my young sister, an ambitious dentist and a mother of three children, who has been recently given the utterly devastating news of having invasive carcinoma in her right breast following the birth of her new son named Adam.

Two days after birth, she has noticed a lump on her right breast and the biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of cancer; she currently receives both chemotherapy and hormonal therapy as well. Fortunately, it is still an early disease and has not spread to the other organs. She is set to have 12 sessions of chemotherapy to reduce the size of the tumor following which she is expected to have surgery to remove the lump.

Hala currently lives in the United Arab of Emirates and her health insurance only covered 10 chemotherapy sessions and she still needs a fund to cover her last two sessions including the surgery. Her medical bill now is beyond what she can afford and her concerns about not completing the chemotherapy are currently overtaking her positive attitude towards this sinister disease. The treatment cost is very expensive and she is currently not able to work in her dental clinic because of the horrible side effects of chemotherapy and also because she is at home now to take care of her new baby Adam.

 

Hala has been very motivated and strong since the diagnosis and her resilience throughout this battle is impressive. I wanted to make this fundraising to give her the chance to continue her treatment without delay and survive this aggressive cancer.
