Meet Gus, our beloved 3-year-old chocolate Labrador Retriever with the sweetest heart and a love for life. Gus has been a cherished part of our family, bringing joy, love, and loyalty every single day.
Last week, tragedy struck when Gus was accidentally shot in the face by a hunter. The injuries to his jaw and face were devastating, and our hearts broke as we rushed to get him the care he desperately needed. Thanks to an incredible veterinary team and Gus’s resilient spirit, he has already undergone two major surgeries and is on the road to what we hope will be a full recovery.
While we’re overjoyed that Gus is still with us, the financial toll of his emergency care has been overwhelming. The cost of his surgeries, medications, and follow-up care is significant, and we’re reaching out for help to ease the burden.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in covering Gus’s veterinary expenses and giving him the best chance at a healthy, happy future. Your kindness and support mean the world to us and to Gus, who still greets every day with a wagging tail and a determination to heal.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing Gus’s story with others would be just as appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping our sweet boy get back on his paws.
With gratitude,
Gus’s Family
