Help Grow Our Mission to Transform The Community

Transformative Soil and Landscapes is not just a name; it’s a recognition of the beautiful ability of soil and our landscapes to transform people, our food, our environment, and our community. In addition, Transformative Soil and Landscapes also defines what we hope to create. Through the principles of permaculture, biology, and a gift economy, we wish to create and nurture sustainable food systems that provide the most nutritious and diverse food available on the planet right in people’s backyards and in community gardens.
As a Nonprofit, we facilitate and organize volunteers to install and maintain these edible landscapes and gardens. This allows us to eliminate labor costs in landscaping, typically ranging from $75-$100 per hour. Eliminating this cost barrier makes creating these transformative landscapes accessible to everyone, allowing us to choose jobs based on intent and spirit rather than economic standing.
Currently, we already have jobs lined up beginning in Mid March. Our goal is to transform a property every week. Launching this goal is where we need help. We have the know-how; we have the passion; and, we have the heart. What we need are the supplies to assess and work the land. Additionally, we need resources to file important legal documents like our 501c3, which will allow us to accept donations as a tax write-off and become tax-exempt. Lastly, we need some operating costs. While the three co-founders will be initially waiving salaries, we need resources for gas, internet fees, etc.
Your donation will help us launch this mission and spread light at a time when politics and a pandemic have created division, separation, and isolation. You can sponsor work that enhances the environment, the community and affects lives on many layers.
