My name is Wayne Hartley Jr., RVTg (Registered Veterinary Technologist), 2014 graduate of THE Fort Valley State University by way of the Vet Tech program.
I'm writing to raise money for the next goal in the business. I need to bring on another groomer and acquire another mobile van. so we are opening this crowdfunding campaign to help towards the growth we need.
I founded Happy Hearts Pet Care ATL in 2016 while working at UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Starting off as a side hustle pet sitting my client’s pets of UGA and a private practice I worked at. Currently, it is my full time career and project and we also offer grooming, training, and dog walking as well as pet sitting. For context, i have 10 years of veterinary experience and worked my way from kennel tech to hospital management. I retired from the workforce to take on full time entrepreneurship in May 2020, purchased, outfitted, and converted (by myself to save money) a Sprinter van into a Mobile Dog grooming van in June, and made over 60k in revenue in 2020 by myself. The most I made ever in the veterinary space and currently. I have successfully doubled my revenue each year with this year projected to hit 6 maybe even 7 figures.
My goal and vision is to provide the best, convenient, consistent, and quality pet care starting with Atlanta but reaching all over the country while teaching and empowering pet parents to provide the best pet care. Happy Hearts Pet Care Services currently is the company that does all of the services techs can handle, but it will convert to a holding company as I have plans to open multiple pet spas (business license purchased ), a pet care center and resort (location sought after in Decatur), 2 non profits (one for youth education and scholarships and the other for rehoming abandoned pets), a media management company (business license acquired), a canine cafe (come and eat lunch with your dog), members only dog park, and pet accessory line. While I have big dreams, I work diligently to accomplish the goals I set. My ask is to invest in Happy Hearts to acquire our Pet Care Center and Resort in Decatur, GA.
With this step, I will be even further on the road to accomplishing everything else I have set for the business. The pet care Industry is projected to hit over $100 billion this year with goals for $300+ billion in 5 years. People are not going to stop taking care of their pets and I want to make it convenient to do so.
