<div>She’s my best friend, my ESA, and the closest thing to a child I could imagine right now, and she’s really been going through it.

<div>Early last year, I woke up to her paw super inflamed and an obvious abscess forming between her toes. I called the vet immediately and got her an appointment.
</div>
<div>After a series of failed treatments and a few tests, they concluded that the biopsy sample they took was of a kind of Hemartoma that leaks blood and other fluids under the skin, and does tend to be chronic. It can be continuously treated by draining, bandaging, and medicating when it comes back up, but long term it’s not sustainable, nor do I find that particularly fair to her. She hates the vet to begin with, so to think about taking her in for a procedure like that every few months just seems cruel, and not financially sustainable for me.

<div>I've tried to manage it ever since, as multiple vets have let me know that as long as she isn't showing signs of being in pain or distress, it can be managed with medication and limiting physical activity/irritation; but the winter months have caused a spike in her allergies and have made the growth much worse and prone to bleeds and infections. It's time.

<div>The last time she was having medical troubles and I posted to my instagram story about it, the response was overwhelming. People I had never met and did not know donated and others insisted if she ever needed the surgery, that they would absolutely want a gofundme link to share and donate to. That kind of love and support was absolutely wild and beyond moving, and truly the only reason I’m doing this now. I never expected the support we received when the $1500 bill landed the first time around with her paw, and honestly, I am thankful for any and all support we could get now.

<div>Our goal is $1300 as that is about what the toe amputation and associated costs land at, assuming there are no complications post op. 
</div>
