<div>My name is Angela, and I've had the honor of being <strong>Greyson's home health nurse for the past 10+ years</strong>. I have witnessed firsthand both the incredible strength of this young man and the daily challenges his family faces in meeting his medical and mobility needs.

<div><strong>Greyson</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>12</strong> <strong>years</strong> <strong>old</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>lives</strong> <strong>with</strong> <strong>spinal muscular atrophy</strong>, a condition that severely limits his muscle control and mobility. He is unable to walk or transfer independently and relies completely on his wheelchair for mobility.

<div>Right now, transporting Greyson is incredibly hard on his family. Their current vehicle isn't wheelchair accessible, which means every trip involves lifting him out of his wheelchair and into the car manually. Then they have to lift the heavy wheelchair into the vehicle separately and repeat the process when they arrive. I've seen the toll this takes—<strong>his</strong> <strong>parents</strong> <strong>are</strong> <strong>loving</strong> <strong>and dedicated, but it's becoming physically impossible to lift him as he grows.</strong> Every transfer carries a real risk of injury to Greyson, his family, and the nurses. <strong>A wheelchair accessible van would change everything. It would allow him to stay safely in his wheelchair while being transported, supported the way his body needs. </strong>It would mean safe trips to doctor's appointments, therapies and church. It would mean his family could take him places most of us take for granted like going to the movies, going out for ice cream, attending family gatherings, or simply enjoying a drive without it turning into a full physical ordeal.

<div>Right now, their family cannot afford this van on their own. Mom is unable to work because Greyson requires 24-hour care, so she has to stay home with him. Therefore, they live on dad's income alone, and the cost of a wheelchair accessible vehicle (often $60,000 or more) is beyond their reach. <strong>Having a wheelchair accessible van would not just be a convenience—it would be a lifeline.</strong> It would mean safety, independence, inclusion, and normalcy that every child and family deserves while bringing relief from the daily physical and emotional strain that transportation now causes. <strong>They would never ask for help—so I am asking for them. </strong>This van would be life-changing for them. It would be the key to giving Greyson a safer, fuller, and more connected life—and giving his family the relief and freedom they so deeply deserve.
