Help Greg & Myles Start Their Game Store

Hey everyone! My name is Greg, and I am in the process of realizing my dream of owning and operating my very own tabletop game store, Sword and Board Games, with the help of my good friend Myles.

Our vision is to create not just a game store, but to make a safe, inclusive space for people to play and enjoy all kinds of tabletop gaming, and build a strong community supporting the store. Our initial store in the local mall is just the first step towards our plans to have a bigger space with an extensive play area. A solid, successful store launch is essential to make our vision a reality.

We are currently at the stage where... the store is happening! The lease has been signed and everything is falling into place. However, quite a few things still need to be purchased before we can open. That is where you come in! We have already put thousands of dollars into this store to get it going, but we still need more to get the store launched properly. Our odds for success will go up if we can start with the right inventory and fixtures without going into considerable debt or delaying those purchases until we can generate enough money.

The money you donate to us will go directly into purchasing product to fill the shelves and the shelves themselves to put the product on! Donations will also help cover rent and other monthly costs, as well as building out our online store.

About Greg Peterson and Myles Lax

Greg Peterson has grown up in the game industry, being the son of noted RPG designer Steve Peterson. Greg has volunteered at the Game Developers Conference for over decade, worked at various electronic and tabletop game companies, and worked at a local game store. Myles Lax has managed a local game store for several years. Both are hardcore tabletop and electronic game players with a deep love for gaming and the desire to create a welcoming, safe gaming environment for a diverse audience.
