My grandpa, Bud, dedicated 18 years of his life as a SEPTA bus driver for the City of Philadelphia. He spent decades serving his community, always working hard to provide for his family. After retiring in September, he was finally looking forward to slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying the life he worked so hard to earn.

Sadly he was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, and it’s been a difficult journey for our entire family, and more so him. The news about it definitely hit hard, and since then, he’s been unable to start the treatment he needs because of the overwhelming medical bills. Watching someone you love battle with something like this, while also worrying about how to pay for care, is something no one should have to go through.

We’re raising funds to help cover the costs of his chemotherapy treatment and related medical expenses. Every dollar will go toward giving my grandpa the chance to fight this cancer and hopefully get back to the life he loves. He’s always been there for us, and now we want to be there for him in his time of need.
