Hi! I’m Sherille Riley, I created this GoFundMe because my dear friend Rosie and her 2-year-old granddaughter lost everything when Hurricane Melissa tore through St. Ann, in Jamaica. Their home was completely destroyed — all their belongings gone in an instant.

Rosie is one of the kindest, most genuine people I know — a hardworking cook at the local fire station who has always given so much to others, even when she had little herself. Seeing her go through this heartbreak and still remain thankful for life has deeply moved me.

From here in London, I felt I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. Rosie deserves a chance to rebuild — a safe place to live, a fresh start, and hope for the future.

This fundraiser will help her buy building materials, cover construction costs, and replace essentials like furniture and household items. For transparency: Rosie will receive 100% of every donation gifted to help her restart her life. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward rebuilding her home for her and her granddaughter.  Thank you so much for your kindness and support — it truly means the world to Rosie, and I.
