Help Goober Fight FIP: Urgent Medical Support

Hello friends! My poor cat Goober has been losing weight, becoming more lethargic and overall demeanor becoming more reclusive. Over the past weekend (Oct 29th) he went to the emergency vet and they performed blood work on him. Initially, he was given fluids and was able to go home with some appetite stimulant. Sadly, his condition didn't improve so I elected him to go get an ultrasound and they found a mass. I elected him to stay the night at the emergency vet so they could determine what that mass was. Unfortunately he has red blood cell count is low and while it became stable, they determined that he had FIP since whatever was showing up on the ultrasound, was probably just gas. He stayed another night and The vets tried to perform a feeding tube surgery that had to be aborted due to blood loss.

He is right now at another emergency vet trying to get a blood transfusion and perhaps a new feeding tube. Thankfully, I have gotten his new medication shipped out asap and it will arrive so he can start when he comes home.

Unfortunately, his insurance only covers so much and I am almost at that limit until his policy renews. I am a student who is limited in funds and I am finally reaching out to the world in hopes that some kind hearted people can help. It's been an emotional rollercoaster and now it's causing me to worry about his ongoing treatment as it has quickly added up to over $6,000 dollars so far. Anything helps and I would be eternally grateful!
