HELP GLORIA KEEP HER FREE HEALTH CLINIC OPEN

Donation protected

PLEASE HELP:

Australian Gloria Goodwin, who suffers from Ankylosing spondylitis, needs to buy an electric powered mobility scooter.  Here is why she deserves and needs your help:

She is the founder of a free health clinic in Bali, Indonesia, called BALI CRISIS CARE . For the last 22 years, It has provided free health care for the poor, in a very poor part of North Bali, and has helped save many lives.

But now.......she no longer can walk by herself well, but does not want to give up serving the poor. The clinic is located 200 meters up the road from her house, and she needs such a scooter to get from her house to the clinic. (see photo).

She also needs:

1.  A new internet set up, with an outdoor antenna, as her current system is broken and can't be fixed.

2.  A new computer, and.

3.  A new office desk.

The estimated total she needs to purchase these items is about $4,000, including cost of shipping for the scooter.

PLEASE NOTE:

1.  All of the needed items will be used for both her own personal needs as well as the clinic's needs. But if she cannot continue to get to the clinic, or have a decent computer and internet connection with which to do research, communicate with potential donors, order supplies, etc., the clinic will have to close down.

2:  Any funds received above the amount needed for the above mentioned items will go into Crisis Care Bali's general fund, which will be used to buy needed medicine and medical supplies, cover clinic operating expenses, and pay staff salaries. (note: as Gloria's health is not very good, some of this may be also used for any health issues she has or develops, or her adopted Balinese daughter develops. As Gloria does not receive a salary of any sort from the clinic, we feel this is a fair use of funds, if so needed.)

3:  Gloria already has an anonymous donor that provides $1,000 USD every month to use as she sees fit, but from that she must pay for all the expenses listed above. Thus, buying a scooter and computer is a luxury she does not have enough money for.  If she can get these things though, she can keep going and continue to help Bali's poor.

4. PERMANENT SPONSOR, ANYONE? What the clinic really could use for the long term is a second regular sponsor. The current sponsor contributes $1,000. Another similar sponsor would be fantastic, and really. help the clinic to fly. If anyone reading is interested in being this, and discussing how the money would be spent in greater detail, please contact Gloria or myself.

5. PAYPAL for PayPal donations please send to [email redacted] . This is my PayPal account which is not used for incoming funds except for contributions. If you choose to use this means, please let me know via email to the same address so I can put you on the recipient list of the final reporting.

As GoFundMe will not allow an Indonesian bank to receive donation money, I have set this up to receive the funds in my account in Hawaii, from which I will send whatever is received to her account in Bali. (I also live in Bali, but maintain an address in Hawaii and bank account there, where my parents live.)

Please help.
