Help Glen Strocks Family of Alida and 5 kids

Spende geschützt

Pastor Glen Stock portrayed the image of Jesus like no other to those of us who were blessed to know him.

Glen  passed away on April 25, 2020 at his home in Pecos, NM, with his wife, Alida, by his side. In addition to Alida, he leaves behind 7 children:  Mary, Tessa, Joshua, Selma, Christiana, Abel, and little Isaac who is only four.  Mary and Tessa blessed him with 6 grandchildren.

Thank you for looking at this gofundme campaign and considering how you can help Glen's family in time of need. Any amount will help. We ask you to please consider adding an additional 3% to your donation to cover processing fees. That way all the money you wanted to give to the family will be directly deposited into Alida's bank account.

We ask you to prayerfully consider helping us reach this gofundme campaign's goal to raise money to cover the approximately $173,000 mortgage on their house in Pecos. This will allow Alida and the kids to  stay in their home. One of Alida's main concerns is providing ongoing stability for the kids. She wants them to be able to continue living and being home schooled in their home as they have always done in the past. It's important to her that they not be uprooted at the same time as they're dealing with the loss of their father.  It's heartbreaking that little 4-year-old Isaac still thinks Daddy is in the hospital and is convinced he'll be home soon even though he's been told that Daddy went home to be with Jesus.

As a passionate pro-lifer, Glen was one of the Founding Fathers of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Santa Fe/Espanola. Per Care Net's Executive Director, Roberta Cheek, "I’m so sad!! Glen was a friend and a mentor. I inherited Care Net from him and the original pioneers who saw a need for a pregnancy center in Santa Fe. There was never a time that I was with Glen in person or the phone that he didn’t stop and say “Let’s pray."  In 49 years of being a Christian, never have I known anyone who prayed more and taught the power of prayer like my friend, Glen. Hundreds of babies have been saved because of the foundation Glen set with Care Net. I’m comforted knowing I will see him when Jesus returns. For now I grieve immensely."

Karen Lafferty's heartfelt tribute on Facebook to Glen resounds with awe and truth: "A man that is rare on this earth, Pastor Glen Strock, took the final journey home on Saturday, April 25, 2020, and is now in the presence of Jesus. There was so much to Glen ... he was a wonderful artist who had a unique style as he painted life in New Mexico, taught history, told Bible stories and more. One of the legacies he left with us are his murals that you can see around Santa Fe.

He was a Pastor and a teacher who became a cowboy so he could be the pastor of the Pecos Valley Cowboy Church.

One of the things I loved most about him was how he let his sincere love for God shine through the way he loved his friends and especially his family.

Glen taught the Bible in an intensely sincere way. You had no doubt that he believed every word with all his heart. I never said goodbye face to face or over the phone without him first saying, "Let's pray right now." And pray he did. Oh how he is going to be missed!

I was blessed to have been able to worship and pray with him and his family the day before he died. He sang praises to Jesus with me, although I could tell he was weak. It was truly God's grace that he said he had no pain from the tumor that had been partially removed from his brain back in December. That alone is a miracle.

Please pray for his wife Alida and their children as they make this huge adjustment of living without this giant of a man.

Thank you, God, for blessing us with such a friend. I think I know Jesus better because I saw Him in Glen. We will savor the memories and look forward to the reunion."

Tribute from Pattie Freeman - "Glen was always filled with joy and compassion, gentleness and wisdom – all undergirded with The Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. May God be a deep Oasis of comfort as Alida and the family mourn."

Tribute Article written by Pastor Dewey Moede - Pastor Glen Strock Passes Away Into The Arms of Jesus

Memory from Augusta "I remember when you all came to my graduation celebration in 2015 - you came separate from the rest of the family - a bit late, and you walked in with the most beautiful bouquet of roses I have ever received in my life and a big smile on your face. I remember your saying "Congratulations, Sweetheart!!" as you proceeded to hand me the flowers. Then you took my face in your hands and gave me a kiss on my cheek. My heart was warmed to the core!"

Once again, thank you for opening your heart and wallet to Glen's family. We ask you to please consider adding an additional 3% to your donation to cover processing fees so that all the money you wanted to give to Alida will be available to her.

Finally, Glen's favorite song was Good Good Father. We hope you'll take a moment to honor and remember Glen by listening to it. We know he'd sing it to you right now if he could ...

May God bless you exceedingly, abundantly more than all you ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20
