The next phase of Olivia's treatment is an airway reconstructive surgery. This is a very complicated surgery and can only be done at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Airway Reconstruction Unit. It is scheduled for October 10...just a few short weeks away! It will, however, involve a long term stay for Olivia and her parents, as well as multiple trips and other surgical procedures to follow. Olivia requires 2 caregivers at all times. Her parents, Carrie and Keith are loving and devoted and have done an amazing job with Olivia's round the clock care. However, it has impacted them in that they have not been able to work. That is why we ask for your help.
To all of our family and friends that have followed Olivia's journey, we thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers. For those of you who would like to be a part of Olivia's long road to living trach-free, finding her voice and a better quality of life, any donation will help. Our hope is that some day Olivia will be able to say thank you with her very own voice! But for now, on behalf of Olivia, Carrie and Keith-parents, Laurie Pilcher (me)- grandma, Tom Pilcher-grandpa, Judy and Mark Ciccora-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, we thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
