Help Give Max Another Shot

We rescued Max a pit mix a little over a year ago. He is house trained and treat trained. He waits to eat his food on your command and will not touch his bowls when you leave the house. He is a lover to our family and has been wonderful to our new child. We have shown him nothing but unconditional love but unfortunately cannot fix what has already been done to him by his previous owners. Max has aggression issues toward all animals and certain people. We've had three indcidents now and cannot afford another. With baby in house, he is just too much of a risk.  Just recently brought him to a trainer who said he is prey driven and has many triggers. Max's reaction time is super quick and he needs some re-direction.  His previous owners may have encouraged this behavior but it's not certain.  I've paid for this recent training out of pocket and have not withdrawn anything from this account yet.  This trainer within the past 48 hours came to the conclusion that Max would take a lot of work and months of training.. which I cannot afford.. even with all the help on this fundraiser so far.. at $95/day this buys two weeks or so.. 

On that note, later this evening I got word that a spot opened up in renowned dog trainer David Utter's rehabilitation which usually takes 6+ months to get into. He is willing to pick Max up first thing Monday morning for 2-3 weeks of training for $1800  and provide ongoing training with future owners. My friend is willing to take him and sign his papers until she can find a foster or family willing to take him. I mentioned before that if it came to it and I had to put him down, I would refund everyone's donations.. BUT if I go with this last option, I will no longer be able to. There is still a chance that if this trainer cannot help and he is a risk to other living beings, Max will be put down.. so if you would like your money back, please message me directly.. BUT if you have faith and are willing to take this one last chance with me.. then I am going all in and giving Max the opportunity I believe he deserves.

For some people it may be so easy to put a dog down.. but this has been a struggle for me the last two weeks and I am doing everything in my power to try and prevent it.. as he is part of my family.
