Please help Joanne get a wheelchair

My mom is the definition of a fighter. Backstory: at age 9 my mother Joanne Wright was diagnosed with type one diabeties
, through to her adolescent years she was in and out of hospitals with different diabeties related complications. During her 20s she met my father and had 2 children. She was hard working, stay at home mom, and caregiver for her grandmother and nieces and nephews. After a string of strokes Joanne was left on disability and reliant on a Walker to get around. About 1.5 years ago my mother had a heart attack and was on life support for about 6 months, she is in reciept of dialysis 3 times a week and resides at a hospital in town she is completely reliant on nurses for almost every activity especially her locomotion. My mom has never been one to ever ask for help and has always given everything she had to help others, lately she has been missing out on many activities she enjoys because she cannot get herself around and her health care team has suggested we start the process of getting her a power wheelchair. These chairs are not cheap but the government covers a huge portion of the cost, we are being advised that the expected cost for our portion will be around 5 thousand.
