<div>We’d love for you to meet our son Arthur — an amazing, happy, and incredibly brave little boy who has just turned 18 months old.

<div>Arthur’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was born 10 weeks premature and spent the earliest weeks of his life in neonatal intensive care. But even from those very first moments, Arthur has shown nothing but strength, resilience, and a big, beautiful smile.

<div>In April this year, Arthur was diagnosed with spastic diplegic cerebral palsy — a form of cerebral palsy that mainly affects the muscles in his legs. This means that simple everyday movements, like sitting, crawling, standing, or walking, are incredibly difficult for him.
</div>

</div>
<div>Right now, Arthur can sit for short periods without support — but he’s unable to stand unaided or move around on his own. He works so hard every single day, and we are beyond proud of the progress he’s made already.
</div>

</div>
<div>To give Arthur the best possible chance at an independent future, he will need:
</div>
<div>* Ongoing private physiotherapy
</div>
<div>* Specialist equipment
</div>
<div>* And most likely, a life-changing surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)
</div>
<div>SDR surgery could significantly reduce the spasticity in Arthur’s muscles, improve his mobility, and ultimately change the course of his life. But it requires extensive preparation and post-surgery rehabilitation — none of which come cheaply.

<div>Unfortunately, while we are grateful for the support from the NHS, they can only provide a limited amount of therapy and resources. Private sessions and treatment are essential, but incredibly costly.
</div>
