My mom, Gina, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer, which has spread to her hips and spine. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and may end up needing radiation as well. She has appointments most days of the week and is unable to drive due to some vision issues associated with the cancer. My dad, Jeff, has taken her to most of the appointments, which means he isn’t working a lot of days. For those that don’t know, my dad is self employed, so if he’s not working, he’s not making any money. My dad is the sole income of the household and not being able to work is really putting a financial strain on them. Anyone that knows my dad would tell you he is one of the hardest working, proud men you will ever meet. He rarely, if ever, asks for help, but is always going out of his way to help others when they need it. Any donations will be going directly to my parents to help with any bills and to help give them some peace of mind while going through this difficult time.
