Hi guys, this is Lexy and Shana, two very good friends of Gina. We are making this go fund me on her behalf because she needs all the help, love and support she can get right now. She’s typically not the type to ask anyone for any kind of assistance (financial, physical or emotional) and that’s why we’re doing the asking for her.
On 06/23/22 Gina was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer, just 2 weeks after getting two job offers from two separate fire departments. She had been working tirelessly for years to fulfill her dream of becoming a career fire fighter. Once it seemed like her dreams were finally being realized, she got the worst news of her life. Now her career and life goals are having to be put on the back burner to deal with a medical condition that no 27 year old should have to face.
In addition to the recent trials and tribulations with her career she’s been facing trying to pursue her dreams she also recently lost her father in October of 2020 to lung cancer and she’s been battling grief and using that as a motivator to push forward with her goals, despite the emotional hardship that has come with losing a parent.
Gina has also been in recovery for almost 9 years, and in that almost decade of recovery she has helped countless women through their own journey to find freedom. Gina is the type of person who always put others before herself. She is truly one of the most generous, thoughtful and kind hearted humans either one of us has had the pleasure of knowing, let alone being friends with. And now we’re asking everyone to please donate and share this page so we can help give back to someone who’s given so much of herself to everyone around her.
Gina is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and will be on it for approximately the next 6 months (could be longer could be shorter depending on how responsive the cancer is to the treatment) and because of this she is unable to work right now, so she needs help covering her bills and paying for her medical costs. Whether you can give a lot or a little, anything and everything counts. Gina will be so appreciative and grateful that anyone even took the time to read this, let alone donate to help her in her vulnerable time of need.
