Help us go to NWBA National Tourney

The Triangle Thunder is a competitive and recreational wheelchair basketball team representing the Greater Triangle Area Community. We provide opportunities for men and women with a variety of disabilities to become involved in the sport of wheelchair basketball. Our goal is to foster each participant's well-being through vigorous physical exercise, skill formation, and healthy fellowship with other persons with disabilities.

Physical disabilities have not stopped our eighth-ranked Division III wheelchair basketball team from achieving its dreams. We are comprised of veterans, individuals who have gone through traumatic injuries, and persons who were born with a disability. 
 
We are one of over 200 wheelchair basketball teams nationwide, one of 8 adult teams in North Carolina, and the only adult team in the Triangle area. We are an affiliate of the North Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Association (NCSCIA), a non-profit corporation dedicated to “enabling people with spinal cord injury and disease to achieve their highest level of independence, health, and personal fulfillment by providing resources, services, and peer support." 

The Triangle Thunder plan to attend the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky on April 12-15, 2018. Your generous donation will support the team's costs including the  National Tournament entry fee, travel expenses, and hotel accommodations.
