Help get us off the dock

Sailing Catalpa is our Youtube Channel. We are a family that has been making videos and sharing them for the past five years of our life on the Sea.

If you don't already know, we bought a bigger boat!!!!

Yay, after years of searching, Catalpa ll found us, and we are stoked. We got a deal on this big old girl, and she needs a fair bit of work. We bought her sight unseen, and we knew it would take some blood, sweat, tears and, of course, money. What does a boat stand for again? Bring Out Another Thousand

Anyway, we have been working hard to get CatalpaII Blue water ready for the last couple of months and to be honest; we thought we would be off the dock by now.

It's been an eye-opening and mentally challenging time for us all. But we are committed to getting her sailing as soon as possible together as a family.

We had some sponsors fall through, which was financially a bit tough.

This means we are looking to the people who have been here all along, supporting us on our journey, our viewers.

Where will the money raised be spent?

Our electrical System so we can be self-sufficient and get off the dock.

The First Target of 6k was reached!!!!! This is amazing. We are so grateful for the help. Money raised brought our three new solar panels $1800AUD, the Victron Multiplus inverter $2000AUD, a cerbo GX $500AUD and $1500AUD in components such as wire and bits and pieces to help set up our electrical system. Which we now have installed and is working great. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE

The expense to get off the dock was a fair bit more than we anticipated, with the Australian dollar being pretty low atm.

For that reason, I have increased our Target, to help us pay off the credit card we maxed out to get the electrical system completed in time before we left San Diego. Our living expenses are a lot less here in Mexico, with your help we hope to get on top of this before we leave Ensenada to officially start our adventures.
