Help Get Steve Home

Steve Williams is the childhood sweetheart of my cousin, Vikki Kohli Williams. They been married since 1975. Vikki is my first cousin, but has always been like a sister to me. Steve was diagnosed with Cirrhosis a couple of months ago. His doctor said he could take a vacation to Florida. A few days after arriving for their camping trip, he found himself in the ICU. He's still there. He needs a liver transplant, but he's not well enough at this time. Vikki and Steve and their son, Travis, want him home.  It's heartbreaking for them, shoot it's breaking my heart. Travis is having to take time off from work without pay. They have medical insurance, but it doesn't cover long distance transfers. We're looking at all options to get him home, from flying ambulance to ground ambulance. (When I say "home" I mean most likely the hospital nearest to them.) He won't be able to travel without IVs and the like.

Can you help me get Steve home? Anything that is raised will go first toward getting him home. Then the funds will be applied toward any unpaid medical bills, expenses from having to stay in Florida unexpectedly, loss of income recovery and sadly, to go toward that event that happens when you need a transplant and can't get one.

I know $20,000 is a lot, but that is our first estimate for an air ambulance, which would be the most comfortable for him. We do believe in miracles and aren't giving up on one for Steve. But the reality right now makes getting home the miracle we need and we need it now, like yesterday.
