Help get Squalus Marine II back in action!

Hello, my name is Tom,

I have been a fan and a supporter of Squalus Marine Divers on YouTube for many years.

I know Captain Denis, and we have worked together to help promote local diving and the sport of Scuba in general.

Captain Denis has come to speak to the Sound School students to offer inspiration for local diving. He has shown us how exciting the sound can be and how many shipwrecks there are to explore right off our CT coast.

Capt. Denise and Squalus also allow non-divers to explore our underwater world through his narrated videos.

Denis finances Squalus Marine Divers on his own and, over the years, has produced 160 videos on YouTube. Tragically, all that ended at the end of the 2021 dive season. I asked Denis why he stopped putting out videos and heard the engine on Squalus Marine II had failed and would need to be replaced. New engines run $26,000.00, and Squalus would still be out of commission for another dive season or more with supply chain issues. Captain Denis was able to a used motor in North Carolina and is working to install it on Squalus II. Still being self-financed, it is still being determined whether we will see new videos this season.

With my work with CT Scuba Academy, I understand what it is like to do a labor of love and wanted to see if we could help offset some of these unexpected operational costs. He has been filming videos since 2012, and I would like to see The Squalus II and Captain Denis back in action making new videos for the 2023 dive season.
