Edit:
The amount of love and support for this project has been amazing! Thank you! we have hit 60% of the goal in 24 hours, we appreciate it :)
Hi! My friends and I created a short film that explores themes of empathy and interconnectedness between nature, humans, and living creatures. This was a no budget film that turned out better than we could have dreamed and we decided we should try our shot in the festival circuit! We need to raise ~1000 to cover the costs of submissions to these festivals. The festival circuit is a crucial part in filmmaking as it allows our project to be seen by thousands and help gain recognition by those in the industry. All donations will be used in this manner. Any extra donations could help with transportations costs as a few of the festivals will be out of state.

Those who know me know I have the softest spot for nature and all living things. I really want my work to inspire people to look at the world from a new found appreciation and create interconnectedness. Your support will help us greatly!

Laurel Nail, our 7 year old lead actress did phenomenal and she deserves all the recognition she can get to showcase her talents and help her get more acting opportunities. Everyone who donates will be granted early access to a private link to screen the film!

A running time of 2:22. This film spark a new found appreciation of nature and empathy towards all walks of life around you.

Here is a synopsis of the film
"The Gentle Giant” is a tender short film that follows Lily, a young girl belittled by her abusive mother, seeks solace by running away from home. Lily battles her emotions and takes her anger out on a delicate flower beside her, Lily’s attention is drawn to a ladybug, sparking a moment of introspection. Captivated by the delicate creature, Lily reflects on the belief that a ladybug brings good luck. However, she contemplates a deeper truth - that perhaps it’s the ladybug that holds the true fortune, being held in the hands of someone who could easily harm it, but chooses compassion instead. The film explores themes of empathy, interconnectedness, and the harmony of all living beings. “The Gentle Giant” is a poignant reminder of the magic found in simple moments of connection with nature and the importance of embracing curiosity and empathy in our lives."
