Please Help Get My Medical Equipment From Storage

Hello,

My name is Brenda Hosch-Helms, and I am a single Grandmother that lives alone.  I need help to obtain the rest of my medical equipment and household items from storage in Augusta, GA and have it delivered to Winston Salem, North Carolina where I currently reside.  I was injured in Augusta 2015, falling head first down 16 steps.  Following surgery to release my spinal cord from being trapped; I went to a rehabilitation center where after being there for 3 weeks I was reinjured and was in a coma for a couple of weeks.  When I awoke, I had paralysis of my hands and my legs; that is when the doctors told me I was a quadriplegic.  I regained the use of my hands after 8 months; then I was classified as a paraplegic.


The news was devastating at the time but through it all, I have been blessed; faith and prayer has gotten me through every ordeal!  December 2018, I decided to move back home to NC.  I returned home to NC with the help of family members.


January 2019, I suffered a fall injuring my right foot which did not heal properly.  I had to have my right leg amputated in April 2020.  I have healed thankfully and now I am headed to a rehabilitation center to learn to walk with a prosthetic.  I have not been able to raise the funds needed to return to GA to bring my medical equipment back to Winston Salem,  NC as quickly as I would like. The most important thing that was left in storage was my Hoyer lift and special bed.  The Hoyer lift is large and operates by remote and if I accidently end up on the floor, I can use the battery box to lift myself onto the bed or my wheelchair. 

 
I am currently paying $130 a month for storage for my household items and medical equipment that did not make it on the truck to North Carolina.  If you need any additional information, please feel free to direct message me via Facebook.
