The past five years have been the most challenging of my life which is why I’ve decided to
launch this Go Fund Me page. I’m hoping people like you, will be kind enough to donate to my cause. And in exchange, you will receive from me the promise of compensation for your thoughtfulness (more about this later).
In brief, here is my story: My mother died when I was just 10 and I found myself in and out of foster homes for the rest of my childhood years. I bring this up because. Now that I am healing. That chapter of my life left me with a deep depression. That is finally now healing.. I Lived in beautiful homes with families that wanted to take care of me & abusive me . I’ve been on my own since I was 16. I struggled for many years. Through those years I managed to take care of myself which includes putting myself through beauty school. My life eas challenging.
I’ve been back in Los Angeles for three years. When I first got here, I was hoping to rebuild my life in LA in my chosen profession of hair stylist but an unscrupulous employer combined with my Post Traumatic Stress and a series of unfortunate events has led me to the lowest point in my life. I ended up homeless and I ended up having to live in skid Row. I never thought that Sobor that would become part of my experience .
After struggling with so many Housing program promising me hope over the last three years, living in and out of my car for about a year and a half and living in shelter programs I realize that I was ashamed to asked for help . I’m no longer ashamed to ask for the help I am deserving of it .
I have spent the past 1/12 years living in&out of my car. Thanks to the 12-step program and good friends in my life, I now know that I am worthy and deserving of asking for help. I have been rejected several times for apartments because I don’t have the right credit score and the 3 to 4 months deposit they’re asking for seems impossible at my current income after loosing my job now due to Covid19 .
I currently not getting unemployment. and I’m grateful for the opportunity to have found a sober living My ultimate goal, is simply to create a home for myself and get back to my dream career as a hair and fashion stylist which I was for over 18 years. That career gave meaning to my heart and soul.
Having that work saved my soul as did the wonderful clients I have had the opportunity to work with .
I’m asking for $10,500 - enough to cover the deposit on an apartment, fix my car and get back into my chosen career by being able to rent a salon chair, and supply’s to get me started
Yes, this is a Go Fund me page but for the donations I am inviting you to take me up on my offer to compensate you back with my hair services or one of my many other skills.
If you can find in your heart to help me, I’m asking my friends to ask 10 friends plus ask there 10 friends if thay can donate $10-$20 . Or anything They can donate.. In return I want to do hair services (I can cut your hair. I can color somebody’s hair.) or I can clean your house. I can do anything in my skill set including teach you how to do your own hair to pay back the money ,
because I’m not asking for a handout I’m asking for help.
