This is hard for me to ask, but I cannot give up the fight for my dreams.

Hi, my name is Jennay and I have been DJing for 16 years. Music has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. It has carried me through my hardest moments and given me purpose in my brightest ones.

This September, I was invited to DJ at Wicked Woods Festival for the very first time, a dream I have been manifesting for years. It is a hard pill to swallow that I will not have enough to cover my travel costs to get there and back. This is my third summer sober, a choice I made to honour my health, give my dream everything I have, and be as professional as I possibly can. I share this not to judge anyone else, but to be transparent about where your donations would go. I am only asking for what I need to make this trip possible, nourish myself while I am there, and cover emergency expenses if they arise, as I will not be paid for this gig until about a week after the festival.

I am in such an exciting upswing with my art. My gigs are finally starting to generate income after so many years of hard work, late nights, and pouring my heart into every set, performance, and project I take on. With my shows this season being so spread out geographically, my travel expenses have been at an all-time high. I do not want something as common place as the cost of getting there to hold me back from this dream.

Playing Wicked Woods is not just another booking for me. It is a chance to share my music with a new community, connect with other artists, and take another big step in building the career I have been dreaming of for so long.
