Help Gerardo fight his deportation!

Last month Gerardo received an order of voluntary departure stemming from a routine traffic violation back in 2014. At that time, our community rallied and organized to get Gerardo released from ICE detention in just one week! Now, he needs our support again, as he faces a legal battle to stay in Tucson and fight for his family and community.  Gerardo is appealing the voluntary departure order  and his lawyer says he has a strong chance of winning the appeal. However, he needs financial support in order to get the appeal submitted by the end of October. Without the appeal, he will be forced to leave the US on November 24th. 


Gerardo is an important leader and member of the community.  He has lived in Arizona for 12 years and is a leader in the struggle for justice in Tucson.  He has lead actions, meetings, workshops, and songs at the Southside Worker Center since 2010.  He has always been on the frontlines fighting for the rights of undocumented people in Arizona, and brings joy and unity to our community through his music and friendship.  

Lets support Gerardo and his family by raising $3000, which will contribute toward the legal fees for his appeal.
