<div>Last night our beloved neighborhood Island Coffee Shop burned down due to an unfortunate fire. We are starting this GoFund me page to support George and his staff that are currently out of work until the shop reopens. The shop's, cooks, busboys &amp; waitresses are all out of work, and we as a community want to help them stay afloat until the repairs are complete, and the shop is brought back to life. We can do it with your help!

<div>The Island Coffee Shop has been a family-owned staple on the North Shore of Staten Island for decades. It's a family friendly place with amazing food &amp; a loving staff. The owner, George, is a hard working man in his 70s who has been through a lot in his life, including Hurricane Sandy, the pandemic, and the loss of his beloved teenage son, so this is yet another weight on the shoulders of a resilient man. Although this beloved neighborhood restaurant was severely damaged, he cannot even begin to estimate the daunting cost of repair, but he is determined to get his business up and running again hopefully soon.
