Help Gemma beat FIP

Donation protected

Hi! Welcome to Gemma's journey! Gemma started showing weird symptoms around the end of may. First I came home and she was limping. I figured she had jumped and fell wrong. But then she started acting lethargic. We brought her to the vet . They checked her over and said they thought she strained her muscle.

But then one night I noticed that her left eye wasn't reflecting. I thought I was seeing things but started keeping an eye on her eye. It started getting cloudy and there was a dark spot on the bottom of her iris. We brought her to the vet , who thought at first that she had an injury so she gave me some drops and gabapenten. It started to get worse and she was in pain so they gave her penicillin. Then we tried 2 kinds of drops blood tests kept coming back negative for lymes, filv, etc. They sent me to the eye specialist who ordered a cbc and he gave us different drops that are helping with the inflammation but her retina is torn. Her blood test show that she is anemic and her protein levels are out of whack. He said today that he is running two more tests but he is fairly certain that she has FIP.

There are medications for FIP but the treatments are expensive. She will need 86 injections for 86 days. Any thing that you can contribute to help with her costs is extremely appreciated.
