<div>People love to travel. I particularly have loved traveling to Sri Lanka every year for nearly 10 years now. Many of us go for the beaches, the food, the beauty of the island. But what do we give back in return? <strong>How do we show kindness to the people who make these places feel so special?</strong>

<div>This fundraiser is for Gayani, a 31-year-old single mother raising her 4-year-old daughter. Like many young women in Sri Lanka, she was married early and her husband became abusive and drank heavily. Instead of staying silent, Gayani found the courage to leave and return to her parents with her daughter.

</div>
<div>She now works full-time in a kitchen, providing for her child and her family. She is rebuilding her life from scratch, with strength and determination, but it isn’t easy when you are the main income provider for everyone around you.
</div>

<div>Gayani has a small piece of land with a half-finished house. With some help, she can finish the bedroom and bathroom, giving her and her daughter a safe home of their own.

<div><strong><em>Why This Matters</em></strong>

<div>When you donate here, you see exactly where your money goes. This is not a large charity where funds disappear into overhead. Every contribution will directly pay for building materials, workers, food, and school supplies. We will share photos and updates so you can watch the progress in real time.
