Friday, February 12th at approximately 4am there was a devastating fire in Mason Auto Body &amp; Mechanical Repair @ 19601 Lake Rd., Rocky River. <a href="https://fox8.com/news/live-rocky-river-firefighters-battle-blaze-at-auto-body-shop/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://fox8.com/news/live-rocky-river-firefighters-battle-blaze-at-auto-body-shop/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://fox8.com/news/live-rocky-river-firefighters-battle-blaze-at-auto-body-shop/</a></a>  Gary Mason has lost every last thing he had dear to him, in a tragic fire at his shop of 47 years. There is no price he can put on his loss. Everything he has ever owned, loved, driven, rode, saved, fixed, among priceless memories and years of dedication of owning a successful business in the community of Rocky River.  Gary has always been an animal lover and enjoyed keeping pets to keep him company for all the late nights working at the bench. Today, he lost 5 cats in the blaze that meant the world to him. He is devastated and heartbroken. Along with his pets, he has many treasured vehicles stored there. Many motorcycles and vintage cars that are irreplaceable. The shop was his home, his life, his love. Almost 8 months ago, Gary had gone through another terrible time that he still hasn't recovered from. His rental property caught fire, which sent him to Fairview Hospital with chest pain, followed by triple bypass surgery and suffering a stroke 2 days later. Life will never be the same... Well, now we can say that for sure.  For those that know him... love him. He has given so much to his community, friends and family... we ask for even the smallest of donation to help give this extraordinary man a break. Everything he had to retire on, that he worked for all his life, is gone right before his eyes. As his daughter, I want to thank you in advance for your help in any way. He has lived with me since his stroke and every day is a struggle but I am rewarded with being able to spend these days with my dad, which I wouldn't have any other way.
