Help Garrett Hewlett's Family After Tragic Loss

Dear Family & Friends,

I am writing you today about the tragic loss of our beloved son, brother, father, partner, and friend, Garrett Hewlett. Garrett died Sunday, August 14th, after a tragic car accident. Garrett was only 23 years old.

He leaves behind his baby girl, Sage, who is 16 months; his loving partner and mother to their child, Sky Alonzo; his brother, Vance; his parents, Ben and Delainah; and many friends and acquaintances whose lives he has touched and made brighter.

Garrett, Sky, and Sage recently moved back to Indiana from Chicago. In doing so, he also changed his occupation, leaving a gap in employment funds.

After pouring everything they had into establishing their new residence and purchasing a vehicle, Garrett and his family were left financially strapped. He was their sole provider as they decided Sky would be a stay-at-home mom. He was currently in the process of getting them back on track when this tragic loss occurred.

Sky is now left with no income or transportation to speak of. She will quickly be met with bills and the general cost of living.

Garrett was always the first to give his time and talents to help others in need. Garrett will be deeply missed but never forgotten, and we will be sure of that.

Friends and family have expressed a desire to help in any way possible, so we've set up a GoFundMe page to help with day-to-day living expenses for Sky & Sage and future academic expenses for his little girl.
